Steve Earle publicará el próximo 25 de junio una recopilación de discos con el sello Warner Brothers entre los años de 1995 y 1997, titulado «Steve Earle: The Warner Bros Years», con los siguientes álbumes, Train A Comin’, I Feel Alright, y El Corazon, además de un concierto de en Nashville de 1995 titulado Live at the Polk Theater con Emmylou Harris y Bill Monroe, como artistas invitados y un DVD con el concierto en la cárcel de Cold Creek en Tennesse titulado To Hell and Back de 1996, en el Cold Creek Correctional Facility.
Steve Earle ha publicado recientemente «The Lost Higway», su último álbum de estudio, coproducido por Earle y Ray Kennedy, producción conjunta denominada, “Twangtrust” , la misma que estuvo detrás del disco de Lucinda Williams “Car Wheels on a Gravel Road”.

Actuación de Steve Earle en la prisión de Cold Creek Correctional Facility, conocida como Fort Pillow Prison en Tennessee en 1996, que será publicada en DVD. Steve Earle fue acusado por posesión de heroína y cocaína, la sentencia 29 días en prisión y un concierto en una cárcel del estado de Tennessee.
