Un álbum inédito de David Bowie «The Gouster», grabado en 1974 cuando comenzaba a experimentar con el soul, en que tanto él como Tony Visconti, eran fanáticos de la serie de televisión «Soul Train», será editado por primera vez íntegramente compuesto por siete canciones con uno de sus grandes clásicos «Young Americans», publicada posteriormente en 1991. «The Gouster», hace alusión a la moda del momento entre los jóvenes afroestadounidenses en Chicago y será uno de los discos que compongan la caja “Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976)”, a la venta el 23 de septiembre en estos formatos: caja de 12 CDs, caja de 13 LPs, y digital.
Esta nueva caja de discos de David Bowie, “Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976)”, contiene los álbumes “Diamond Dogs”, “David Live” (el original y reedición de 2005), “Young Americans”, “Station To Station” (mezcla original y otra realizada por Harry Maslin en 2010), “Live Nassau Coliseum ’76”. “Re:Call 2” (discos de singles) y «The Gouster».
David Bowie grabó en el estudio de sonido Sigma en Filadelfia, por su apego a esa ciudad que tenía una fuerte vinculación con el soul. Este álbum inédito será includido en su totalidad en la selección «David Bowie – Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976)». Esta selección le sigue a la primera, «Five Years (1969-1973)», que salió en septiembre en dos ediciones, una de 12 CD u otra de 13 LP.
Se piensa que estas canciones fueron encontradas por un vendedor callejero, quien dijo que las ofrecían en internet a 15.000 dólares. Los fanáticos de Bowie especulaban que el mismo Bowie podría haberlas comprado para mantenerlas en privado.
