«Trouble No More», un documental-concierto filmado sobre cantautor Bob Dylan se estrenará en formato documental en el New York Film Festival que se celebrará del 28 de septiembre al 15 de octubre, dirigido por Jennifer LeBeau.
‘Trouble No More» es el nombre del documental de poco más de una hora que muestra al emblemático músico durante la gira del «Slow Train Coming» entre 1979 y 1980, siendo sus presentaciones en Buffalo y Toronto. Decimonoveno álbum de Dylan, primer trabajo del músico tras su vinculación con la iglesia evangélica Vineyard Church y su conversión al cristianismo, y todas las canciones expresan su fe personal o la importancia de las enseñanzas y la filosofía cristianas, de forma similar a sus dos siguientes álbumes, Saved y Shot of Love.
Slow Train Coming, fue producido por Jerry Wexler, tuvo lugar en cinco sesiones de grabación en los Muscle Shoals Sound Studio de Muscle Shoals en Alabama entre abril y mayo de 1979, con un grupo formado por Mark Knopfler, Pick Withers, Barry Beckett y Tim Drummond, además de las coristas Carolyn Dennis, Helena Springs y Regina Havis.

Este disco dio un giro a su vida y a su carrera, asumiendo una nueva identidad personal fruto de un nuevo nacimiento, y no dudó en confesar su fe cristiana. Tras tres años y otros tantos álbumes en la órbita de la ortodoxia evangélica, su obra se irá aligerando de esa carga evangelística y confesional aunque mantenga los ojos puestos en el dios.
Dyaln, absorto en su propio mundo, incapaz de comprometerse con nadie, siempre a contracorriente. Cuando se convierte en un ídolo del folk, electrifica su música para hacer rock en 1965. Tras ser considerado un cantautor protesta, da la espalda a los movimientos sociales, en un giro que todavía no le ha perdonado Joan Baez, como demuestra el reciente documental de Martin Scorsese.
En la época psicodélica se dedica al country con discos como John Wesley Harding, lleno de referencias bíblicas y alusiones a Agustín. Siempre chocante e impredecible, pero probablemente nunca haya dado un giro tan espectacular como su profunda inmersión en el cristianismo a finales de 1978. Su lucha espiritual continúa hasta nuestros días.
El estreno de este nuevo documental sobre Bob Dylan coincide con el lanzamiento de un nuevo volumen de discos piratas centrado en el periodo cristiano de Dylan y con la publicación del libro “ Trouble In Mind: Bob Dylan’s Gospel Years . What Really Happened”, de Clinton Heylin.
