Neil Young, as tireless as ever, has released the live album Young Shakespeare fifty years after the original performance. This intimate recording and concert from 1971 was filmed and never released until today. One cold winter night in Stratford, Connecticut in 1971, we see a Young stripped bare: just an acoustic guitar, a piano and a harmonica.

Young Shakespeare features early recordings of “Old Man”, “The Needle and the Damage Done”, “A Man Needs a Maid” and “Heart Of Gold”, over a year before their release on Young’s 1972 classic recording, Harvest. The album will be available on vinyl and CD at The Greedy Hand Store at the Neil Young Archives (NYA) and the standalone DVD of the concert will be available exclusively through The Greedy Hand Store at NYA, as well.
