Riley Downing goes solo with Start It Over
Riley Downing, member of the band, The Deslondes, will be releasing his first solo album, Start it Over, on May 14th. Downing‘s initial plan was to record a single while his band was on hiatus during the pandemic. However, his muses had a different idea, and in the end, the result was a host of songs and inspiration found in the album’s 12 tracks. There was even talk that all of the Deslondes members would be making their own solo albums.

Lawrence of the Raconteurs teams up at the Downing studio on electric bass, Dennis Crouch (Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, co-founder of the acclaimed Nashville-based The Time Jumpers Mellotron, Meg Coleman (Yola) and Jimmy Lester (The Straightjackets, Blaze Foley) on drums, Jeff Taylor (George Strait, Elvis Costello, The Time Jumpers) on keyboards, Derry Deborja (John Prine, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit), among others.
