“The Metallica Blacklist”, es el nombre que llevará este trabajo tributo a Metallica que contará con 53 artistas de distintos países y géneros musicales, interpretando las canciones del “Álbum Negro”. Entre los artistas se encuentran Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, My Morning Jacket, Miley Cyrus con Elton John, St. Vincent, Weezer, Volbeat, Mac de Marco, Ghost, Dave Gahan de Depeche Mode, Volbeat, Royal Blood, Chad Smith, Cage The Elephant, Portugal. El próximo 10 de septiembre Metallica lanzará la reedición del Black Album celebrando sus 30 años y además lanzarán otro disco llamado “The Metallica Blacklist”. Recordemos que el álbum realmente se llama METALLICA, sin embargo por su portada, fue bautizado por todos sus seguidores como el “Black Albúm”, el cual incluye las canciones “Enter Sandman”, “Sad but True”, “The Unforgiven”, “Nothing Else Matters“, “Through the Never”, las cuales se convirtieron en éxitos mundiales al momento, poniendo a Metallica en la cima del thrash metal.
La reedición oficial se lanzará en varios formatos, incluida una caja de lujo que contiene la friolera de 14 CD, seis LP de vinilo, seis DVD y más (también estarán disponibles versiones digitales y conjuntos más pequeños). Para adelantar la reedición, Metallica está compartiendo versiones de esos clásicos.
