La 23ª edición de TakeRoot festival en Groningen, Holanda el festival anual más importante de Americana y de música estadounidense raíces, presente pasada y futura donde Dirty Rock Magazine estará nuevamente presente. Un cartel más que imponente donde se darán cita nombres como Howe Gelb, Jesse Malin, Courtney Marie Andrews, Garrett T. Capps & Los Rippers, Israel Nash, Black Lips, Native Harrow, Malford Milligan, Diana Jones, Adrian Crowley, Holly Macve, Don Dilego, Judy Blank, Luka Bloom y muchas más joyas ocultas por descubrir.
El centro de la ciudad de Groningen, presentará dieciocho conciertos el próximo sábado 6 de noviembre en seis ubicaciones: Stadsschouwburg, Grand Theatre, Vera, Huize Maas, Der Aa theatre y la Iglesia Luterana.
El TakeRoot festival comenzó su andadura en septiembre de 1998 en la localidad de Assen al sur de Groningen con nombres desconocidos e interesantes hasta entonces como Chris Whitley, Victoria Williams, Chip Taylor para despegar definitivamente al año siguiente y años sucesivos con apariciones como las de Steve Earle, Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham, Tony Joe White, Fred Eaglesmith, Cracker, Jesse Malin, Vic Chesnutt, Tim Easton, Cowboy Junkies, Giant Sand, The Sadies, Th’ Legendary Shack*Shakers, A.J.
