The Fat Man, otro genio que hoy cumple 84 años en vida, es Fats Domino, pianista y cantante de Boogie-Woogie/Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Soul, Funk y Rock and Roll, el New Orleans más caliente por su venas.
Fue el músico de color que más discos vendió entre la década de los 40’s y 60’s en Estados Unidos. Junto a Chuck Berry y Little Richard, uno de los pioneros y más grandes de la música popular norteamericana.
Fats doesn’t really get the full credit he deserves. All in all, he rates as one of the top three or four architects of the rock music tradition. He’s definitely the leader of the New Orleans contingent. He personally went a good ways toward putting the roll in rock and roll. With Chuck Berry and Little Richards the pioneers of everything!!
